Auntie’s 喺度食定拎走 is the staff-side question. 喺度 points to here, and 拎走 identifies taking it away. You can answer with the relevant option when the order is already clear. Repeating the whole question back may leave the server unsure which one you want.

For a new takeaway order, it helps to establish the serving choice before the food is plated. Do not assume that pointing to a door communicates this. A short spoken choice works alongside the order, especially when part of your group is staying and another person is taking their own food away.

唔該幫我打包 asks staff to pack food for you. The words themselves do not contain “leftovers”; that interpretation comes from the meal in front of you. Point to the dish or specify the item so that a bowl, several plates and a drink are not left as competing possibilities.

You may hear a reply about a container rather than an offer to do the packing. The existing phrase 得，我攞個盒畀你 means “Sure, I’ll get you a container.” Recognising it helps you understand the next step without assuming that every venue handles packing in the same way.

If two foods should go in different containers, communicate that before they are combined. 分開, fan1 hoi1, means separately or apart. A compact written request is 唔該分開放, m4 goi1 fan1 hoi1 fong3, “Please put them separately.” Point to the specific items because “separately” still needs a reference.

One person might mean separate containers for two diners; another might mean keeping sauce apart from the food. The word alone does not resolve that difference. Use the visible dishes and the staff’s confirmation to establish what is being separated. Packaging availability and charges belong to the actual business, not to the phrase itself.

A collection is another moment again: you need to know whether all ordered items are present. 外賣齊唔齊呀 asks whether the takeaway order is complete. If one box is absent, identify it rather than saying merely that something is wrong. 爭咗一盒飯 specifies one missing box of rice or a rice meal in context.

The staff may offer to check the order together. That is a chance to compare the list with the actual bags, not a reason to repeat the entire initial conversation. Practise the meal as a sequence: choose here or takeaway, request packing if needed, then verify the items you are collecting.
