THE SHORT ANSWER
Identify the order, describe the difference between what you expected and what arrived, then request a specific next step. A size reaction such as “It looked smaller online” is not enough to establish a listing error. Add measurements, the chosen option or the missing component when that is the issue.
Start with the order the seller can identify
Put the relevant order number or product name before the explanation. You can show this information directly in the seller’s messaging system instead of trying to read a long reference number aloud. Use a fictional reference when practising, and avoid putting personal order details into a public language exercise.
A newly written opening, 我想問呢張訂單, means “I would like to ask about this order.” The message should make “this” visible through an attached order reference or the current order thread. Without that reference, the seller may have to begin by asking which purchase you mean.

Separate a surprise from an objective mismatch
Auntie’s 網上睇冇咁大㗎喎 means it did not look this big online. That describes an impression. It does not establish what measurements were advertised or whether the seller sent the wrong size. Use it to understand a reaction, then supply more concrete information for a support conversation.
If you ordered medium and received small, compare the selected option with the label on the item. If the issue is measurement, use the same unit on both sides. A photo may support the comparison, but an unexplained photo alone can leave the reader unsure whether you are showing size, damage or colour.

Give each problem its own description
A missing part differs from a wrong item and from damage to the right item. The text example 少咗一個零件 says that one component is missing. If you can identify that component on the instructions or product page, do so; “one part” may not tell the seller which replacement is needed.
For damage, describe what you observed and when you noticed it. The existing phrase about discovering damage after returning home can be useful in the appropriate situation, but do not copy its timing into a delivery complaint if it is untrue. Accurate details are more helpful than a memorised sentence that changes the facts.

End with a request the seller can answer
Choose the next step that matches your goal: asking how to exchange the item, requesting a missing component, or asking about a refund. Auntie’s 我想要退錢 states the last of these. It does not communicate that you would be satisfied with the correct size or a replacement part.
A complete short message therefore has three parts: “This order”; “I selected medium but received small”; “Can this be exchanged?” Keep them in that order so the remedy follows the evidence. Read the seller’s reply for any required reference, photograph, return step or timing. Confirm the actual arrangement rather than assuming the first acknowledgement has resolved the problem.

YOUR TURN
Try it yourself
Your item is larger than you imagined, but you have not checked the listed measurements. What can you honestly say first?
See one possible answer
You can describe the impression with 網上睇冇咁大㗎喎. Before claiming a wrong-size delivery or listing error, compare the chosen option and measurements with what arrived.
Keep these in mind
- Identify the order before describing the problem.
- A visual impression and a measurable mismatch are different evidence.
- Request the outcome you actually want.
